Position Description

The College of Charleston welcomes applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in English, with a start date of August 16, 2018. Required qualifications include a PhD in English or African American Studies with emphasis in African American Literature, and demonstrated excellence in teaching literature and writing; and strong potential for scholarly productivity. This faculty member will teach nine hours per semester (fall and spring); the teaching assignment will include a combination of introductory and survey courses in English, as well as specialized upper-division courses and the opportunity to teach in our MA program.
