Position Description

Latin Americanist with specialty in Central America or the Caribbean, contemporary preferred, to teach undergraduates at all levels, to include courses in both the Department of Hispanic Studies and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program; occasional opportunities for teaching in relevant units across campus, including the M. Ed., the Honors, and/or the First Year Experience programs. 3/3 course load. Ph.D., at least 2 years of full time collegiate teaching experience, a coherent and cohesive research program with promise for future production.
Position begins August 2018, full benefits and competitive salary. Strong command of Spanish and English required. Additional duties may include, but are not restricted to, participating in department and college functions; advising students and clubs; occasional directing of summer and/or semester study abroad programs in Spain and Latin America, and other service-related activities in both the Department of Hispanic Studies and the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program.
