Position Summary:
The College of Charleston invites applications for a one-year visiting position in French/Linguistics at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in the French, Francophone, and Italian Studies Department beginning August 2018.

Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in French is required at time of appointment. Teaching experience is required in both the area of specialization and in lower-level French language classes. Candidates must have a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and present a strong research agenda. The successful candidate will teach introductory French language courses, as well as upper-level courses in the area of specialization, and contribute to the College’s interdisciplinary programs. The teaching load will be four courses per semester.
